In an effort to promote mental activities and develop students’ strategic thinking, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University (Abu Dhabi Campus), in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Chess and Mind Games Club, organized a Chess Championship that attracted a wide participation from students across various colleges. The championship, part of a series of cultural and sports activities regularly organized by the Deanship, witnessed intense competitions among students, showcasing remarkable levels of skill and strategic thinking. Participants demonstrated high planning abilities during the matches, which raised the level of challenge among competitors. The top performers who delivered exceptional performances were honored with awards at the conclusion of the event. The Deanship of Student Affairs praised the competitive spirit displayed by the participants, highlighting the importance of such activities in fostering critical thinking and strategic planning skills. They also announced plans to continue organizing similar events that combine enjoyment and intellectual development, with the goal of encouraging students to engage in activities that sharpen their mental abilities and instill a spirit of healthy competition.
