The College of Communication and Media organizes a student visit to WAM.

The College of Communication and Media (Abu Dhabi campus) organized a student visit to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) accompanied by faculty members. This visit comes as part of Al Ain University's efforts to integrate its students with practical experience and its commitment to cooperation with various institutions in the country, aiming to strengthen students' knowledge and enrich their practical skills.
Omar Al-Ahmad, the editor-in-chief of the Arabic language department at the agency, provided an introductory overview of the agency and its development stages since its inception, as well as a presentation on the journey of news reporting within the agency. Al-Ahmad also answered questions from the college students, which covered various aspects of journalistic news production within the agency and the latest developments supporting journalistic content production using artificial intelligence tools and other advancements.
At the end of the visit, the students toured the agency's museum, expressing their admiration for the agency's work system, its coverage level, and its digital platforms that keep pace with the latest developments in both local and international journalism fields.
