Cooperation between Al Ain University and Huawei to develop information technologies

Al Ain University (AAU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Huawei, one of the world’s leading companies in information and communication technologies, aspiring to exchange knowledge, develop information technology, and train students and faculty members.
The MOU has been signed at GITEX 2021, by Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, and Mr. Liu Jiawei, CEO of Huawei, UAE Office.
The agreement aims to develop information technologies, support the university to benefit from the latest devices and technologies manufactured by Huawei, train faculty members and students on the latest information technology knowledge, provide the opportunity to transfer technical knowledge to students through specialized training programs, and provide certificates approved by the company, as well as cooperate in organizing conferences and joint events related to information technology.
Prof. El Refae stressed the importance of this agreement in qualifying university students and raising their standards to deal with the latest developments in the digital age, providing an opportunity to identify and work on advanced devices produced by Huawei and informing them of the latest developments in its various fields.
He added: Through this cooperation, Al Ain University seeks to enhance its internal digital capabilities, pointing out that the cooperation with Huawei confirms the university's keenness to harness the latest technological tools and training programs and to provide the university students to enhance their skills. He praised Huawei's role in cooperating with many universities and scientific institutions in order to raise the level of its graduates by providing them with the latest technological advancements.
