MOU between Al Ain University and “Zayed Higher Organization”

Al Ain University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs to promote cooperation aspects and partnerships in the area of joint work.
The MOU signed by Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, and HE Abdullah Al-Humaidan, Secretary General of Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs, at the university campus at Al Ain, in the presence of Colleges Deans, Dean of Student Affairs and Director of Development and Follow-Up, Dean of Research and Graduate Studies and Deputy Deans from Al Ain University, in addition to Mr. Abdullah Ismail Kamali, Head of Special Needs Sector and a delegation from the foundation.
The signing of the MOU is based on the social responsibility that the two parties commit to, in order to realize the joint commitments between the two parties in the field of education, scientific research and community interaction to rehabilitate the People of Determination.
Under the MOU, the two parties will cooperate to create the appropriate academic environment for the People of Determination, to suit their talents and abilities, Provide the printing service in “Braille” language for blind students, and providing training courses in sign language for the deaf.
The two parties also facilitate the process of conducting research and scientific studies in the field of care and rehabilitation of the People of Determination. In addition, to, organize various activities and workshops and joint events in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Prof. El Refae said that signing this MOU comes based on the social responsibility and the University's keenness to participate actively in the care of the “People of Determination", Stressing the keenness of the AAU to provide the appropriate environment and all their needs and integrate them into society. He praised Zayed’s Higher Organization efforts for providing the best care and rehabilitation programs with international standards for the People of Determination.
HE Al-Humaidan praised the role played by Al Ain University in working to integrate the People of Determination in the community, which will increase their efficiency and their confidence and make them able to work and capable of production.
He stressed that the Foundation continues its plans for development, in order to improve the level of provided services in line with best practices and the highest international standards, in order to achieve the goal of the Government of Abu Dhabi in providing social development that guarantees a decent life for the UAE community.
